   Judges Retirement Plan
The Judges Retirement Plan (Judges Plan) covers all district court judges, appellate court judges, and the judges of the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Judges contribute 8 percent of their salary into the retirement plan. After 24 years of service, judges stop contributing to the Judges Plan, and instead contribute to the Unclassified Plan. Judges also contribute to Social Security.

The Judges Plan also provides important disability and survivor coverage.
